Trina Solar was recognized as a Top Performer for product reliability and performance among global photovoltaic module manufacturers by PVEL (PV Evolution Labs) – the global solar industry's leading independent testing laboratory.

The company is one of the only solar module manufacturers to earn the recognition for the sixth consecutive time since the Top Performer designation was established.

The recognition is based on the results of the PQP (Product Qualification Program), following factory inspections carried out in the 18 months prior to 2020.

“It is encouraging to see Trina Solar recognized as a Top Performer for the sixth consecutive time. With over 20 years of technical know-how, the company is committed to sustainability through the delivery of high-power, highly efficient and high-performance modules with proven quality and reliability,” commented Yin Rongfang, Deputy General Manager and executive vice president of Trina Solar.

Rongfang also highlighted the importance of photovoltaic energy, which represents a long-term, stable and sustainable solution. “These high-performance equipment (modules) will continue to accelerate the adoption of photovoltaics around the world, further improving system balance costs and the levelized cost of electricity,” he concluded.

For Tristan Lorico, head of PVEL's photovoltaic module business, as new products are introduced, manufacturers must adhere to strict quality control standards to maintain high levels of reliability and performance of their products.

“We are honored to recognize Trina Solar again as a top performer and look forward to testing future Trina products as the company continues to innovate,” said Lorico.
