Photovoltaic module manufacturer Trina Solar has had its Vertex solar panel series, from 500W to 600W, pass TÜV Rheinland's full reliability test.

According to the company, these modules are ultra-high power and had already received the IEC 61215 PV panel performance standard certificate and the IEC 61730 PV panel safety standard certification in March this year.

Also according to the manufacturer, the Vertex series features a low voltage and high power per string design, in addition to advanced solutions such as non-destructive cutting and interconnection technology between high-density cells, responsible for improving heat resistance and reducing costs. system and levelized cost of energy (LCOE).

For Zhang Yingbin, director of product strategy and value management at Trina Solar, Vertex panels are a new benchmark for high-power modules in large-scale solar power plants with regards to hot spots.

“With improvements in technology, conversion efficiency is on track to surpass 24%. Combining design optimization, load capacity improvements and downstream installation, the energy provided by Vertex panels will continue to grow. This evolution further accelerates the reduction in the cost of photovoltaic systems and LCOE, accelerating the application of solar energy in the world”, concluded Yingbin.

Regarding the approval of the panels in the reliability test, Chris Zou, vice president of Solar Services at TÜV Rheinland for China, said he was very excited to see that Trina's equipment completed, in less than six months, the processes for entry in the 500 W and 600 W panel market.

“The agility for reliability certification and commercialization opens a new path for the rapid development of photovoltaic technologies. Congratulations to Trina Solar for its outstanding achievements in leading the growth of the renewable energy industry and for its innovative spirit,” highlighted Zou.
