A TW Solar launched a series of G12R modules, with high efficiency cell technology TNC (Tongwei N-passivated Contact Cell).

According to the company, the products have power in between 500W It is 600W and more than 4,14% in efficiency in relation to the model P-Type in the 182mm version.

“Currently, the average efficiency of TNC cells in mass production is 26.2%, which has performance advantages such as high bifaciality, low attenuation, non-destructive cutting techniques and better temperature coefficient,” highlighted the manufacturer.

Since 2020, Tongwei has started R&D (Research and Development Project) of TNC cells independently. In November 2022, for example, this technology was included as one of the top ten innovative technologies in the “Zero Carbon China” award.

In terms of design, G12R series products are optimized based on traditional 182mm solutions. “Under conventional transport methods, a module width of 1134mm is maintained, while the panel length is increased from 2278mm to 2382 ± 2mm, maximizing the use of container space and reducing transport costs by 4%”, they highlighted. .

Other features of the series

Another point emphasized by TW Solar is that BoS (Balance of System) costs decreased by 3.07% and LCOE (Levelized Cost of Energy) decreased by 4.37%. “The improvement of G12R series products not only reduces the total cost of the product, but also increases its cost-benefit ratio.”

Under the same power generation conditions, according to the company, the usage area of the G12R series modules is reduced by 8.73% compared to the 182mm version panels, which creates greater product value for customers.

“The G12R-66 version, for example, meets the diverse needs of large photovoltaic plants installed in different scenarios, as well as the G12R-48 version, which is applicable for residential, industrial and commercial use”, concluded the company.
