A Unioeste (Western State University) Paraná) it will be another institution from Paraná in University education to enjoy the benefits of solar fountain on its premises, becoming self-sufficient in terms of electricity.

A installed plant from the university he received a investment of R$ 1.04 million for implementing 572 photovoltaic modules with 550 W power, approved in the Energy Efficiency Program of Copel (Companhia Paranaense de Energia).

Besides her, three other state universities in Paraná also already have solar energy systems installed in their units. All were also covered by the Copel program.

The power plant UEL (State University of Londrina) is in operating since 2019, with 1,020 solar panels installed and generating, on average, 400 MWh per year. The system occupies an area of two thousand square meters of the University Dental Clinic parking lot.

Already in December 2022, it was the turn of the Didactic Pavilion of Unicenter (Central-West State University) receive thereInstallation of 179 solar panels, generating 80 kWp.

If transformed into values closer to everyday life, the energy generated by the three photovoltaic plants installed so far could keep 535 consumer units operating for a year, considering that, on average, each unit uses 152.2 kWh per month.
