Another solar energy plant is about to operate in Brazil. This Thursday (24), a plant with 1,976 bifacial photovoltaic modules will be delivered by the Rio Grande do Sul company TecPar, in the municipality of São Borja (RS).
The project, built by the company HCC Solar Energy, occupies a total area of around 3.3 hectares, with an initial generation capacity of 1,000 kWp. The investment made by TecPar to build the plant was approximately R$ 7 million.
According to the company, all energy produced at the site will no longer emit more than 270 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere per year.
The company also highlighted that the location, in São Borja, was chosen due to the excellent incidence of solar radiation in the state and for easily connecting to the supply network.
According to data from ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), updated until the early morning of this Wednesday (23), the state of Rio Grande do Sul currently has 16 solar plants in operation in the GC (Centralized Generation) segment – the so-called large plants . Combined, all these projects accumulate just over 8 MW of power, according to the Agency.
