Scheduled to open by October this year, the first photovoltaic plant in Brazil built with cryptocurrency features has social appreciation as one of its pillars.

The 1 MW plant, which is being implemented in the city of Itaobim (MG), reverts percentages of the purchase fees for its currency, ENY (EnyCoin), to social projects in the region. The work is signed by São Paulo fintech EnergyPay.

The venture's solidarity bias arose from the company's CEO, Marcos Silva, who was one of the precursors of the UniãoBR – which carries out charity campaigns throughout the country to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The company is already fulfilling its social role and the tendency is to expand service to people who need it in the cities and states where the plants will be located”, highlighted Silva.

EnergyPay participates in class actions. Two recent ones, for example, took place in Bahia and Mato Grosso do Sul, where almost R$ 200 thousand were contributed in donations based on ideas carried out in partnership with the Fire Department and the Military Police.

According to the company, for those thinking about investing, the moment is very interesting, as the currency is affordable. They assured that the period is also favorable for the next projects: photovoltaic energy plants in the states of Bahia and Rio de Janeiro.

Another point emphasized is the possibility of purchasing the token as soon as the first system is completed (a token is a specific asset or utility. It can also function as a crypto asset) from whoever purchased the cryptocurrency.

“We have rates for buying and selling currencies. This value is designated to maintain the business, invest in new plants and the application of part of the value is for social action”, he explained.

An activist for humanitarian organizations linked to the UNU (United Nations), the businessman has already traveled across Brazil to give lectures and disseminate knowledge about renewable energy. Furthermore, he said he wants to see the country generating electrical energy from the tokenization of solar plants.
