VSG Energia will receive 6.5 MWp PV plants from WDC Networks

A WDC Networks, a technology distributor, announced a partnership with VSG Energy, startup in the renewable energy market. The agreement was made official during the event APRIL 2022, held in São Paulo (SP).

According to the company, the agreement certifies the construction of two photovoltaic plants, with 6.5 MWp in each unit, for the startup's companies. Delivery is scheduled for the end of this year.

The plants will be implemented in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Still according to WDC, the expectation is that the projects will be put into operation by the end of this year, and already providing clean energy.

André Souza, director of the solar energy business unit at WDC Networks, highlights that the distributor is very enthusiastic about the partnership.

“We are very excited about this partnership, consolidating our TaaS model for solar energy generation, and being able to offer clean energy with a complete and personalized solution for VSG”, commented Souza.

The contract represents the largest plants that WDC has offered in the TaaS (Technology as a Service) business model so far. With the implementation of the plants, VSG Energia aims to reduce its customers' energy costs, in addition to considering the region as having great potential for new partnerships. Among the startup's consumer audience are telecommunications companies.

According to Vicente Gomes, founding partner of VSG Energia, the startup's knowledge of the telecommunications market will help in the dissemination of clean and renewable energy to thousands of consumer units at a reduced cost.

“As an entrepreneur, I feel very proud to continue innovating and creating jobs in the interior of the State of Rio de Janeiro”, highlighted Gomes.

The partnership contract is for 84 months, which is equivalent to seven years, with validity established from the date of delivery of the sites destined for the implementation of the project.
