Continuing with the programming of the Canal Connect, a discussion panel about the impacts that Law 14.300 will bring into the routine of professionals in the photovoltaic market.
The panel, moderated by Bernardo Marangon, managing partner at Exata Energia, had the participation of Natalia Maestá, CEO of Fonte Solar, Marcelo Abuhamad, Commercial Director of the Bonö Group, and Roberto Caurim, CEO of Bluesun.
Earlier, at 9am, the lawyer Pedro Dante, energy and infrastructure specialist at Lefosse Advogados, explained which changes come into effect from January 2023 and brought examples of how integrators can prepare to carry out their business.
Security for the sector
Bluesun's CEO assessed that the discussion panel played an extremely important role so that companies and professionals could acquire broader knowledge about Law 14.300 than just the legal part.
“Pedro (Dante) is a great authority and knows everything about the legal side of 14.300. It was up to us, on this panel, to take the matter to a slightly more commercial and technical side so that people could understand a little more about the other implications of the law other than just the legal part,” he said.
Caurim also highlighted that, despite Law 14.300 being heavily criticized by several professionals, the sector has always needed legislation that would bring legal certainty to companies operating in the area.
“Unfortunately, no legislation in Brazil is what we want. She could be better, but without her the scenario would be much worse. At any moment, GD could be ended with the stroke of a pen and not today. We can even go to court against a distributor with much more property, precisely because we have a law that protects us”, she concluded.

energy storage
During the event, the CEO of Fonte Solar emphasized the range of opportunities that this new law will bring to the energy storage sector, from hybrid systems, off-grid and energy time-shift and peak shaving, for example.
“We see that the storage trend is growing year after year, especially now with lithium battery technology, which manufacturers normally guarantee for 10 years and have a durability of up to 30 years”, he reported.
“Without knowledge there is no growth. The focus is to analyze, see the possibilities of the market and with the Canal Solar always puts you ahead and stays well informed”, concluded Natália.
Business fronts
Marcelo Abuhamad, on the other hand, brought to the participants some strategies applied by the Bonö Group in the solar energy sector. The idea was to show and better elucidate the necessary market movements that companies will have to pay attention to starting next year.
“With the application of the new rules, the market will become a little more funneled. So, we will have a slightly higher barrier to entry in the sector and a need for greater technical explanation on the part of the commercial consultant who will serve clients to sell new projects”, he highlighted.
According to him, companies will have to better segment their customer base so that they can impact them with an experience and build a much more solid relationship.
“The segment will really go through this (legislative) transition, which is completely natural. Every market that matures needs to implement new practices, and I believe that at GD, with the 14.300 milestone, entrepreneurs will have to innovate and expand their business fronts more so that they continue to grow within the sector”, highlighted Abuhamad.
