According to BNEF (BloombergNEF), energy storage facilities will reach 358 GW by the end of 2030 worldwide, more than twenty times the 17 GW at the end of 2020.

In Brazil, projections of NewCharge Energy point out that this market could reach a generation capacity of 18 GWh and a turnover of more than R$40 billion by 2030.

There is no doubt that the scenario is encouraging. However, for battery storage to take off and reach these milestones, some incentives are needed. This is what Alexandre Correa, director of Brasal Energia, said.

O Canal Solar went to Brasília and spoke with the executive, who spoke about the importance of batteries for the solar sector and also presented to our team the first industrial showroom for grid-connected energy storage, installed at the Brasal Refrigerantes factory. Check it out!
