With the aim of making customers aware of the results of R&D (Research and Development) applied to technology, Hjt (heterojunction), the Risen Energy launched a technical report on modules of the Hyper-ion series.
In the document, the manufacturer's research on the “development and application of metallization paste with low silver content” is the starting point. According to Risen, the objective is to explain the work and reflections on how to increase efficiency and reduce the cost of metallization paste throughout product development. Hyper-ion series HJT, in order to make it competitive, above all, in order to maintain the high reliability of the equipment.
What is the rationale behind selecting low-silver paste materials? How is reliability determined? Will light, electricity and heat affect performance and how can this be determined? Does the use of paste affect the reliability and power generation performance of the panels?
According to the company, the study aims to provide clear explanations for each of these issues and show test results that prove the high reliability of Risen's low silver metallization paste and HJT modules.

About HJT technology
A heterojunction technology, among cells with a single junction, is capable of providing the highest efficiencies and highest power generation and is also a favorable basis for tandem cells when combined with perovskite technology.
Furthermore, it is one of the most researched technologies in the industry, with 40 years of history. However, in terms of industrialization, it was limited for a long time due to the high costs of large-scale production, which limited its competitiveness and market attractiveness.
Since 2019, Risen has invested in R&D as well as production of HJT products, and has achieved significant results, breaking the world record for HJT module power four times.
The manufacturer's HJT equipment shipments ranked first globally in 2020 and 2021. To promote the industrialization of HJT technology and provide products that result in Lower LCOE for photovoltaic plants, Risen Energy updated its HJT products based on 210mm technology platform in 2022.

“Through continuous R&D, in-depth in materials, processes and equipment, we have mastered key technologies such as ultra-thin silicon wafers, low-silver metallization paste, 0BB cells and low-temperature, stress-free cell interconnect, applicable to HJT products. We have also developed an HJT product with greater power, greater efficiency and greater competitiveness, known as Hyper-ion,” the manufacturer said in a statement.
