STI Norland Brasil has reached an agreement to supply solar trackers for the Brígida project, in São José do Belmonte (PE). The plant, owned by Perfin, will have a capacity of 78,4 MWp.

When in operation, the plant will be capable of generating 60 MWh. This is a GC (centralized generation) project, in which the company has a 39% market share. In DG (distributed generation), the company claims to be responsible for 90% of the equipment delivered.

“It is an honor to be part of yet another initiative that will see photovoltaic solar energy gain more and more space in the country's energy sector. We are excited about the activities of the Brígida project”, commented Javier Reclusa, CEO of STI Norland Brasil.

Among the services provided by STI Norland in this project are, for example, the Pull Out Test, which consists of evaluating the soil resistance through the application of efforts that simulate the effects of wind added to the weight of the structures on the foundations.

The company will also carry out a training and assembly program, in addition to supplying the STI-H250 model trackers.

With more than 140 projects in the country, STI Norland Brasil has already reached the milestone of 3 GWp in clean energy, with more than 62 thousand trackers sold

In 2020, the manufacturer quadrupled its revenue, achieving its goal of closing the year with R$1 billion.

“These results make us very excited and also reflect the growth of the sector. Despite it being a year full of challenges, solar energy gained a lot of investment in 2020”, concluded Reclusa.
