Seven out of ten Brazilian integrators are already offering solar energy systems with batteries in the Brazilian market, according to a study released by Greener with data compiled from the year 2025.

Compared to the 2024 survey, the indicators reveal a 10 pp (percentage point) increase, indicating a rapid incorporation of the technology into these companies' portfolios. Despite the wide range of offerings, only 24% of them made at least one sale during the year.

The consultancy points out that this mismatch is directly related to the lack of technical and commercial expertise on the part of the integrators, who are facing difficulties in positioning storage as a strategic solution for the end customer.

Greener identified this by asking integrators about the main difficulties they faced in closing deals. According to the research, almost a third (32%) of companies indicated the high cost of equipment as a major bottleneck.

"The clear value proposition is not yet reaching the end customer, and therefore, the low perceived value of the technology by the customer may reinforce the high price perceived by the customer," Greener reported.

Furthermore, 37% of respondents cited the combination of low demand and lack of consumer awareness as one of the main obstacles to the adoption of these systems.

The research also highlights internal challenges for companies, as 13% of integrators say they have only been working with the technology for a short time. Other factors cited include a lack of strategic focus (5%), limited technical knowledge of the teams (4%), and difficulties related to financing (3%).

Again, the data reinforces the existence of an educational bottleneck in the sector, where the value proposition of storage is not yet fully understood by the market.

Expanding market

Despite the obstacles, Greener points out that the energy storage market continues to expand in Brazil, driven mainly by the search for greater security in energy supply.

According to the data, approximately 45% of customer demand for battery-powered systems is linked to the need to ensure continuity of electricity supply, especially in backup applications.

When broken down by consumer profile, the survey shows that the market is predominantly residential. This segment accounted for 69% of demand in 2025, with high-end consumers being the most prominent, responsible for 40% of installations.

Exclusive

The study conducted by Greener aims to provide an overview of market perception in different segments of the photovoltaic chain. The research was carried out with 6.590 integrating companies from all regions of the country, between January 12 and 31, 2026, considering their performance throughout 2025.
