The MME (Ministry of Mines and Energy) opened this Tuesday (12) a public consultation on the “Stakeholder Engagement Plan for the Development of Offshore Wind Farms in Brazil”.
The proposal, according to the Ministry, foresees the creation of a participation plan aimed at sectors impacted by or interested in the advancement of this resource in the country, including governments, companies, local communities, fishermen, environmentalists, and specialists.
The document was divided into three volumes, covering topics ranging from the fundamentals and stakeholder diagnosis to the development of an engagement plan for offshore wind planning and a roadmap for future projects in the sector.
The proposal also integrates the activities of the Offshore Wind Energy Working Group, created to discuss regulatory, technical and normative aspects necessary for the advancement of the technology in Brazil.
The public consultation will be open until June 1st and contributions can be received through... MME portals and the platform Participatory Brazil.
