According to "Global Market Outlook For Solar Power 2024 – 2028", report prepared by SolarPower Europe, Brazil is the third largest solar energy market in the world. Until May this year, the country surpassed 43 GW of solar PV capacity.

According to a Brainer Martins, Director of Operations at Solfácil, the solar market has potential for growth in Brazil due to the drop in prices for photovoltaic modules.

“We see the prices of solar panels falling, which brings a little optimism given the soaring cost of sea freight and the dollar. I believe that this exchange rate rise is temporary and, if the political scenario is adjusted, the dollar will cool down again”, he said in an interview with Canal Solar.

With a new Solfácil distribution center opened last Thursday (4) in Jundiai (SP), the operations director highlighted the city as strategic point to optimize equipment distribution logistics in the Southeast, Midwest and North, reducing delivery times by almost 50%, from 11 to six days.

“The first point is that we are in a city where it is easy to hire specialized labor. Furthermore, we are close to the Port of Santos and have access to a road network, which allows us to ship throughout Brazil. Finally, we have a greater supply of carriers, which facilitates negotiation and reduces freight costs”, added Martins.

Solar energy in the Southeast

The states of Minas Gerais e São Paulo, lead the national ranking of photovoltaic solar energy generation, and the states in the region continue to grow with more investments in residential, commercial and industrial projects.

In addition to the favorable climate, application in industries and the development of research, the economic characteristics favor the growth of solar energy in the southeast, offering ideal conditions to boost growth and create favorable conditions for energy transition all over the country.

The new distribution center is the largest project in Soleasy, according to the company. Built in over 13 thousand square meters and with an investment of approximately BRL 200 million, the CD can ship up to 800 kits per day at its maximum capacity.

The inauguration was attended by professionals from the solar energy sector and lectures from manufacturers GoodWe and Astronergy, who explored the storage market and sales techniques.

In an interview with Canal Solar, Solfácil highlighted that with the inauguration of the new space the company aims to optimize distribution logistics and store equipment to meet the needs of installing partners, such as on-grid and hybrid inverters, batteries, vehicle chargers, miscellaneous photovoltaic kits and Ampera IoT hardware.

According to Martins, Solfácil's focus is to serve the market residential, commercial and low power, with projects up to 12 kW. The company has in its portfolio several solutions from 2 kW to 250 kW.

Currently, Solfácil has more than 20 thousand partner integrators connected to its platform in all cities in the 26 states and the Federal District.

For 2024, the company projects growth of 43% in all operations and launches of new products and services in its ecosystem with the aim of expanding access to solar energy for small, medium and large projects and contributing to energy freedom.
