A Solar Sapphire, a company focused on photovoltaic generation, recently signed a partnership with operator Hi, through Oi Energia. The objective is to supply solar energy generated by its plants and carry out all energy and credit management with the distributor Cemig, for the telecommunications company's customer base.

The company offers the benefits of shared DG (distributed generation) to consumers and, with the agreement, the subscription photovoltaic energy service will be consolidated.

“We signed the partnership after a very successful proof of concept with more than 100 Oi employees, who subscribed to the Safira Solar service and were able to benefit from the discount on their electricity bill through distributed generation”, commented Vinicius Marini, CEO by Sapphire Solar.

According to the executive, the versatility of the platform and the complete energy management it provided were essential to completing the agreement.

Safira Solar has a digital commercial and management platform for plants and third-party customers. With this initiative, a new business model for the company will be presented. “The projection for 2023 is to serve more than 20 thousand customers”, highlighted Marini.

According to the company, still in December this year, more than 2,5 MWp will be added to the installed capacity in Rio do Prado (MG). The company is expected to double the number of residential and commercial customers, currently 3, by the end of 2022.
