JA Solar launched, during the 16th China Solar Convention and Exhibition, held last Friday (26), its high-efficiency DeepBlue 3.0 Light module, adapted for residential and commercial photovoltaic systems in the global market. According to the company, the panel, which passed tests conducted by TÜV SÜD for the IEC 61215 and IEC 61730 certification standards, has a power of up to 415 W.

Furthermore, it has a mass production efficiency of over 21,3% – providing greater power per unit area and per unit weight – and a higher roof utilization rate and load-bearing capacity. The company also highlighted that the DeepBlue 3.0 Light module inherits all the benefits of DeepBlue 3.0, providing customers with greater installation capacity, lower BOS costs and greater returns on investment.

“As distributed photovoltaics enters the era of grid parity, market demand for high-efficiency distributed panels is more urgent. Since its launch last year, DeepBlue 3.0 has been highly recognized and accepted in the global industry,” said Xinwei Niu, Executive Chairman of JA Solar.”

“DeepBlue 3.0 Light will further promote the application of high-efficiency solar products and bring greater profits to globally distributed photovoltaic users,” added Niu.

According to Fernando Castro, country manager at JA Solar Brasil, this module is more aimed at the European market. “We haven’t yet decided whether we’re going to bring it to Brazil,” he highlighted.

About the DeepBlue 3.0 series

In May 2020, JA Solar launched the DeepBlue 3.0 module based on 182mm x 182mm wafers and began mass production in August. These modules are designed with the advantages of several high-efficiency, low-degradation technologies, including PERC cells and silicon wafers doped with Ga (gallium), which gives the product, according to the manufacturer, excellent performance in terms of reliability, conversion efficiency and power generation.
