Axia Energia announced plans to invest R$ 8,7 billion in expanding its transmission infrastructure by 2030. The plan includes the construction of 2.320 kilometers of new transmission lines, distributed across 12 Brazilian states, focusing on increasing the capacity to transport generated energy and keeping pace with the country's growing demand for electricity.
These projects are part of the lots won by the company in transmission auctions held by ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency). The works are expected to be completed within a timeframe ranging from 42 to 60 months, depending on the characteristics of each project.
Among the most recent contracts is Lot 9, acquired at the auction held by ANEEL in July of this year. The project foresees investments of R$ 224,6 million in works in the São Paulo municipalities of Mairiporã, Jaguari and São José dos Campos, aimed at strengthening the electrical infrastructure to meet the growth in consumption in the interior of the state of São Paulo.
In addition to this venture, the company also has projects in Minas Gerais, totaling approximately R$ 1,6 billion in investments, and in Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, and Santa Catarina, where the planned investments exceed R$ 630 million.
According to the company, the works will also contribute to increasing the reliability of the SIN (National Interconnected System), with improvements in network stability, voltage level control, and a reduction in the risk of power supply interruptions.
Currently known as Axia Energia, the company adopted its new brand in October 2025, three years after the privatization of the former Eletrobras. The change was part of a process of institutional repositioning and modernization of the company's governance.
