Brazil leads searches for "residential solar energy" among countries in the Americas, according to data from a survey published by... Energy Bulb, a provider of solar energy by subscription.
The study analyzed the average monthly volume of searches performed in Google The term was adapted to the language of each country, and the results were adjusted proportionally for every 100 inhabitants. The period considered was from June 2025 to May 2026.
With a search rate of 0,42 per 100 inhabitants, Brazil stands alone in first place. This result is more than three times higher than that of Trinidad and Tobago, which comes in second with 0,13.
The United States and Costa Rica are tied for second place, with an index of 0,08. Chile and Uruguay register 0,06, while Canada and El Salvador appear with 0,05. Ecuador and Honduras complete the top ten positions, both with 0,04.
According to the company, adjusting the results for population allows for comparison of countries of different sizes. Therefore, Brazil does not appear in the lead simply because it has a larger population: the indicator considers the volume of surveys proportionally per 100 inhabitants.
