The CCEE (Electric Energy Trading Chamber) was authorized to temporarily relax the conditions for adhesion of generators that have or do not have contracts in the ACR (Regulated Contracting Environment), for the purposes of registering purchase and sale contracts of energy in the ACL (Free Contracting Environment).
According to CCEE, the measure will facilitate the admission of independent producers with work in progress. In total, several requests for flexibility were received from generators that sold 100% of their energy in the ACL and also from those that sold part of their energy in the ACL and part in the ACR.
According to current rules, generators with regulated contracts can join the CCEE and start operating from the beginning of supply, even if this occurs on a date before the plant enters commercial operation. For generators with contracts in the free environment, membership is only permitted after the project starts operating.
Solar energy in ACL
According to Bernardo Marangon, specialist in electrical energy markets and director of Exata Energia, Solar energy is increasingly attracting the attention of free and special consumers who trade in the ACL.
“Exata also has a presence in the free market and what we are seeing is an increase in consumer interest in photovoltaic energy projects. We serve generators and consumers who would like to generate their own energy, and the number of studies and diagnoses we have carried out has increased considerably. We believe that this type of project will make more and more sense, given that the downward trend in the value of investment is expected to continue”, highlighted Marangon.
