The Government of Espírito Santo published tender notice no. 90001/2026 with the objective of contracting electricity supply services, including the migration of state consumer units to the free market and consumption management. Proposals will be accepted until February 25th.
The contract, with an estimated value of R$ 80,6 million, will be valid for 60 months. In addition to the supply, the winning company will be required to provide technical and regulatory monitoring services, as well as represent the consumer units at the CCEE (Chamber of Electric Energy Commercialization).
The government expects that the migration to the free market will result in savings of approximately R$ 64,8 million over the contract period, representing a reduction of about 26% in energy costs compared to the regulated market.
With the aim of reinforcing the State's environmental commitment, the tender establishes that the contracted energy must come from renewable sources with international certification.
"In addition to financial savings, the initiative seeks to increase the predictability of public spending by adopting a fixed price for the entire contract period, reducing exposure to tariff adjustments, tariff flags, and variations in the regulated market," the government said in a press release.
