Fire hits Ministry; explosion at substation is cited as possible cause.

A fire broke out this Tuesday morning (25) at the building of the Ministry of Racial Equality, in Brasília (DF), which also houses five other ministries. According to the Fire Department, the flames started after an explosion at the power substation located near the building.

The fire mobilized several fire trucks and led to the complete evacuation of the building. Employees from the six ministries located there will have to work on a different schedule. home office in the next days.

The Fire Department reported that one person suffered burns and six others were taken to the hospital. The burn victim is a contract worker who was performing maintenance at the substation at the time of the explosion.

Another 24 people received treatment at the scene, but did not need to be transported to health facilities. The area was isolated and teams continue to monitor possible reignition points, according to reports. Corporation.
