Fortaleza will host the 6th edition of Intersolar Brasil Nordeste, one of the main renewable energy sector events in the region, on April 28th and 29th, 2026, at the Ceará Events Center. The event will bring together companies, specialists, and executives to discuss trends, challenges, and opportunities in the energy transition in Brazil.
The program includes lectures by experts, debates among executives, networking breaks, and company showcases, creating an environment focused on knowledge exchange, business generation, and professional development.
The exhibition and congress are expected to bring together more than 4 visitors, over 60 exhibiting companies, approximately 350 delegates, and more than 30 speakers, in a space of 7.500 m², consolidating the event as one of the main platforms for debate on solar energy and associated technologies in the Northeast.
According to the event organizers, the choice of Fortaleza reflects the region's leading role in the sector. The Northeast region concentrates 52% of Brazil's installed solar energy capacity and is home to six of the country's ten largest solar producers.
The region also accounts for approximately 65% of contracts under construction and projects authorized for the expansion of solar power generation, a factor that reinforces its strategic role in Brazil's energy transition.
Intersolar states that the event takes place at a time when the debate about data centers is gaining prominence on the energy agenda.
The growth of data processing centers (data centers) is a consequence of generative artificial intelligence, video streaming, and the continuous expansion of digital services. These factors increase the computational load, with a consequent increase in energy consumption.
Ceará is on its way to becoming a global digital hub with the construction of Brazil's largest data center in the Pecém Export Processing Zone (ZPE) in Caucaia. Another highlight is the progress of green hydrogen (H₂V) projects.
In addition to the region leading the country in the number of agreements signed for fuel production, driven by the future construction of a terminal dedicated to the outflow of production in the Pecém Complex, whose implementation is scheduled to begin in 2026.
The state's port and industrial infrastructure, combined with favorable sun and wind conditions and a strategic location for international routes, has attracted significant investment to the sector.
It is in this context that Intersolar Brasil Nordeste positions itself as a strategic space for debate on the future of energy. The event is part of the set of conferences and industrial fairs of The smarter E South America platform, dedicated to innovation and the development of the energy ecosystem.
During the two-day program, industry professionals will be able to follow discussions on topics such as the opening of the energy market, challenges of large-scale solar generation, energy storage, solutions for reducing or cutting energy consumption, curtailment, systems with high renewable penetration, and energy infrastructure for data centers.
