O RenovaPR, a program to encourage the implementation of renewable energy in rural production units in the state of Paraná, made it possible 4.523 projects, under the guidance of IDR-Paraná

The survey, carried out until October 2022, also showed the registration of 559 companies that provide solar energy installation services.

According to Pasta, the project began in October 2021 and provides lines of financing, equalization of interest rates, Incentives taxes and utilization of credits.

Furthermore, the IDR-Paraná has promoted technical visits, meetings and seminars to publicize the advantages of renewables among producers.

The first poultry farmer to install photovoltaic solar energy, through the program, was Ildo Alexandre Rottoli. On his property, he houses 34 thousand birds that require a high consumption of electricity.

For Rottoli, the plant is yielding good savings. “At first I thought a lot about installing these panels, but it’s a good deal. When I do the math, what I would pay in electricity bills I already pay for the financing installment. In eight years I will be free of this debt.”

According to the poultry farmer, R$200 were invested in the construction of the plant, which has 144 solar panels. “The staff created the project and helped organize the documentation. In four months the signs were already installed”, he concluded.

About RenovaPR

RenovaPR is coordinated by the State Agriculture System, through the State Secretariat for Agriculture and Supply and IDR-Paraná.

It also counts on the partnership of public and private bodies, among them, Faep/Senar System, Ocepar System, Fetaep, Fetraf System, Embrapa Swine and Poultry, International Center for Renewable Energy (CIBiogás), Paraná Association of Agricultural Planning (Apepa) and Association of Municipalities of Paraná (AMP).
