HYXi has expanded its presence in the Brazilian distributed generation (DG) market with the launch of a line of string inverters aimed at residential systems. With models ranging from 3,6 kW to 10,5 kW, the equipment is being distributed to the Brazilian market through AVT, a partner of the manufacturer since the beginning of its operations in Brazil.

In an interview with Canal SolarBreno Machado, country director of HYXi in Brazil, explained that the decision to expand the portfolio only came after the consolidation of the national operation, which began with the sale of microinverters.

“The initial strategy was to understand the Brazilian market and structure the entire commercial policy, the channel program, and the after-sales and technical support services. After this validation, we developed the new string inverter models specifically to meet the characteristics of the national market,” he states.

According to Machado, although the company already sells this line of equipment in markets in South America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania, adapting it for Brazil required developing solutions tailored to the specific needs of the national photovoltaic sector.

According to the executive, the choice of AVT to lead the launch of the new line was a consequence of the partnership built since the beginning of HYXi's operations in Brazil.

In addition to the commercial relationship, the company identified a growing demand from integrators who were already using its microinverters and were looking to expand the brand's solutions portfolio.

“We identified a pent-up demand from customers who were already familiar with HYXi and were requesting a line of string inverters with the same quality standards, technical support, and after-sales service,” Machado points out.

Initially, the equipment will be primarily targeted at the residential segment, currently considered the main market for Brazilian distributors and integrators.

The executive emphasizes, however, that this is only the first step in the company's strategy.

"The company already has higher-power models and energy storage solutions in its global portfolio. We are also evaluating bringing new three-phase inverters to the Brazilian market."

Among the distinguishing features of the new line, Machado highlights the fully vertically integrated manufacturing process and the exclusive use of top-tier components.

According to him, approximately 70% of the company's employees work in research and development, allowing them to incorporate technologies that increase the efficiency of the equipment.

One of the highlights is the use of silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductors, a technology that, according to the executive, provides greater energy efficiency, reduced electrical losses, more compact equipment, and safe operation at high voltage levels.

Even in the face of the slowdown observed in distributed generation, HYXi maintains a positive outlook on the Brazilian market. According to Machado, the sector is undergoing a natural maturation process, which should result in more sustainable growth in the coming years.

"The Brazilian market has great potential for growth and professionalization. We observe a consistent trend of expansion in energy storage solutions and smaller residential projects, both connected and disconnected from the electrical grid."

According to the executive, the company's experience in other markets reinforces the perception that periods of adjustment usually precede more structured expansion cycles.

Roadshows reinforce brand positioning.

To officially introduce the new line to the market, HYXi, in partnership with AVT, held roadshows in Campo Grande (MS) and Cuiabá (MT).

According to Machado, the events aimed to bring the manufacturer closer to integrators and present not only the products, but also the global structure of the group responsible for the brand.

"The reception was very positive. Many professionals were still unaware of the size of the group and were impressed by the robustness of the company and its Brazilian operation."

Among partners already working with HYXiPOWER microinverters, the main highlights were the reliability of the equipment, the low failure rate, and the quality of technical support and after-sales service.

For the company, this return reinforces its strategy of gradually expanding its participation in the Brazilian market, keeping pace with the evolution of distributed generation and the growing demand for more efficient storage solutions and equipment.
