As power plants de solar energy installed in the municipalities of Campo Maior and Altos, in the interior of Piauí, were inaugurated and are producing energy with the aim of supply two secretariats do State government.
They are the Sead (Administration Secretariat) and the sefaz (Treasury Secretariat). In all, each of the projects generate a savings of R$1 million to public coffers. The plants are maintained through PPP (public-private partnership).
Em Bigger field, the mini-plant responsible for supplying Sead, came into operation in March this year and during that period generated 640.000 kWh of energy, a saving of 40% in the value per kWh.
On site, there are approximately 7 thousand bifacial photovoltaic panels installed, which move according to the sunrise and sunset, which provides greater power in energy generation.
“It is an economy that allows the State to invest in other priority areas, in addition to boosting Piauí as a reference in good environmental practices and being an example in the use of solar energy to serve administrative units”, highlighted Samuel Nascimento, secretary of Sead.
In Altos, the plant that generates energy to supply Sefaz is similar to the Campo Maior project, with eight hectares of photovoltaic panels. In the municipality there is still another space of plants being finalized to supply Sedec (Department of Education).
“Development is the great gain of this public-private partnership project with mini-plants. Furthermore, it is work that provides a sustainable return for the State”, commented Monique Menezes, superintendent of partnerships and concessions at Sead.
