According to data from ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), in January 2023, the increase in electric matrix verified was 1280,2 MW, of which 871,9 MW came from wind and 364,1 MW of photovoltaic plants.

For general director Sandoval Feitosa, the numbers confirm the expectations released by the Agency at the beginning of the year record generation expansion in 2023.

"The January numbers are very promising and are in line with the very encouraging forecast announced by ANEEL at the beginning of this year, with emphasis on the robust increase of renewable sources in the national energy matrix”, he emphasized.

Nine states had projects released for commercial operation in the first month of 2023, in the North, Northeast, Southeast and South regions. The highlights, in descending order, were the Rio Grande do Norte (579,6 MW), Minas Gerais (319,4 MW) eoa Bahia (163,80 MW).
