Jinko Solar ships 52 GW of modules in the first 9 months of 2023

The Chinese manufacturer Jinko Solar announced that You sent but of 52 GW de photovoltaic modules our first nine months 2023. The company, throughout the year, has seen panel shipments increase every quarter.

In the first and second quarters, shipments reached 13 GW and 17,8 GW respectively, which means they sold 21,2 GW of modules in the third quarter.

The company's sales were also dominated by TOPCon type N cells, which account for 57% of total shipments year to date. Such cells and their derivative technologies have attracted increasing interest from the solar sector in recent years due to the potential for high conversion efficiencies.

The manufacturer's TOPCon cells, for example, had a conversion efficiency of 25,5% in the second quarter of 2023, and the company plans to continue research into the technology and deliver a cell with 25,8% efficiency by the end of this year. .

Figures from PV Tech Research suggest that by 2024, TOPCon cells will represent more than 80% of Jinko Solar's total cell capacity.

The company plans to ship 100 GW of modules in 2024, and with the manufacturer on track to sell about 77 GW of modules in 2023, its leadership is optimistic about the growth of TOPCon sales.
