Real Madrid, one of the biggest football clubs in the world, this week signed a partnership with the photovoltaic solutions manufacturer ELITE Solar, which will become the official sponsor and supplier of solar panels for the Spanish team.

The contract signing took place in the meeting room at Ciudad Real Madrid, the club's training center, and was attended by Real Madrid's Director of Institutional Relations, Emilio Butragueño, and ELITE Solar's CEO, Alex Chen.

Through this partnership, the two organizations aim to promote solar energy, sustainability, and innovation through global initiatives focused on engaging fans, customers, employees, and communities.

“At Real Madrid, we seek partners who share our values and our vision for the future. We are pleased to welcome ELITE Solar to our global network of collaborators,” Butragueño stated.

For Alex Chen, CEO of ELITE Solar, the alliance goes beyond a commercial agreement. “It reflects a shared pursuit of excellence, global impact, and long-term value creation. Together, we hope to inspire people through innovation, performance, and a commitment to a more sustainable future,” he stated.

Sustainability strategy

The partnership reinforces the sustainability strategy adopted by Real Madrid in recent years. According to information from official club website and from their most recent report of sustainability processAll of the club's facilities are supplied with electricity from 100% renewable sources, mainly solar and wind power.

Real Madrid has also expanded its initiatives aimed at decarbonization. These include expanding its infrastructure to... electric mobility, with new charging points for vehicles, the use of 100% LED lighting at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, and the project to install photovoltaic systems on the roofs of the buildings in Ciudad Real Madrid.
