A subscription energy Who winning more and more space No. Brazil for being a simple way e accessible de get renewable energy.

In an interview with Canal Solar, Ivo Pitanguy, CEO of Nextron, climate tech of solar energy by subscription, comments that Brazil is in a favorable position in renewable energy compared to other Latin American countries.

“Since 2021, solar energy has increased from 2% in representation in the energy matrix to 15% in 2023, so 6,5 times growth in two years. This has never been seen in the history of exponential growth released by DG (distributed generation)”, he commented.

“Today, Brazil is the largest country in the world in DG than GC (centralized generation). So, in Brazil 70% of solar energy is DG. This is a unique characteristic and this growth has really been exponential. So far, almost R$200 billion has been invested in DG since resolution 482 of 2012”, he added.

Pitanguy explains that the biggest advantage of subscription solar energy is the fact that the consumer does not need to make investments for installation, and it is also a great option for those who do not have space to receive solar panels.

“To install a traditional system, the consumer will need to bear the installation expenses, whereas at Nextron, everything is done with proprietary technology, without the need for any type of installation, consequently without high investments”, he explains.

Another advantage is that consumers who do not have a place to install a photovoltaic system can enjoy the savings from the photovoltaic source.

According to the Nextron spokesperson, “the expectation is that we will be able to scale. So, the prospect of increasing the number of Nextron subscribers is much greater, especially because as a whole, the trend now is for solar subscriptions to become increasingly popular.”

“With the new law, it had a big impact on consumers who want to get a solar roof, it became more expensive in terms of increased playback, so subscription solar energy is simpler and easier”, he added.

In an article of this nature, you would need at least some information on how subscription solar energy works, what are the number of advantages, how to choose, market options, advantages and disadvantages, in short, something that offers some parameter for analysis. unfortunately the article did not offer...
