The Spanish company Amper announced this Friday morning (19) that it has signed a contract with Equatorial Energia for the modernization and expansion of the electricity network in the central-west region of Pará.
According to a statement released by the company, the contract is worth R$ 842,2 million and has an initial term of four years. The agreement also includes an option to extend it for an equal period, which could double the total value of the contract.
The execution of the services will be the responsibility of Electrotécnica Industrial e Naval do Brasil, a subsidiary of Amper in the country. The project involves the expansion of the electrical infrastructure and the modernization of the distribution network, focusing on improving the quality of energy supply in the region served by the concessionaire.

ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), which uses the DEC (Equivalent Interruption Duration per Consumer Unit) and FEC (Equivalent Interruption Frequency) indicators to measure the continuity and quality of the service provided.
