The International Bioenergy and Biofuels Technology Fair, Biotech Fair, takes place between March 26th and 28th, at the Fiergs Events Center, in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul.
The event aims to present all the renewable sources energy, with emphasis on biodiesel, biomass, biogas, ethanol, biokerosene and green hydrogen.
In addition to the 10 m² business fair, the International Bioenergy Congress will also be held, featuring around 70 speakers and panelists including researchers, specialists and entrepreneurs from the fair's segments.
Types of solar energy: understand the differences and which one to choose
For Clóvis Rech, director of Porthus Eventos, the importance of the event is due to the fact that “Brazil is the sixth largest consumer of electricity on the planet and consumption has registered an average increase of 4% per year over the last decade, while the world average is 2,3%”.
“This increase generates concern about meeting demand, which increases the search for renewable energy sources and, consequently, opens up new markets full of opportunities. Currently, 47% of the energy produced in the country comes from renewable sources, while in most rich countries this percentage is only 15%”, concludes Rech.
