A BYD Energy began to offer the market the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction), that is, the development of the large solar plants from start to finish.

The service involves studies and sizing to understand the site's demand, the entire executive engineering process, planning and management of acquisitions, as well as the construction and assembly process of the project, including the commissioning and testing necessary for connection.

“Our objective is to strengthen the clean energy market in Brazil and act as an ally in this context with our expertise in creating sustainable solutions and qualified services, based on high technical knowledge,” he said. Socrates Rodrigues, project director at BYD Energy

“Sustainability is BYD's focus, both with the production of electric cars and with solar energy solutions, protagonists in offering 'clean fuel' for BYD electromobility solutions”, highlighted the executive, who explained that the company's EPC It also meets the demands of small customers.

With an “energy as a service” solution, the company acts from identifying the customer's energy demand to maintaining the plant throughout the technical warranty period, which can last from 6 to 12 months.

In the initial phase, the engineering team, with expertise in project development, provides customized solutions, studies and sizing, respecting all regulations, in addition to using appropriate software and tools and preparing memorials and quantities, ensuring executive precision and control costs, in addition to support from consultants and BYD's own R&D (Research and Development) team.

In the purchasing and acquisition planning stage, the manufacturer highlighted that the team specialized in supply chain comes into play, which activates the supplier qualification system, access to specialists in import and nationalization, the dedicated logistics and supply sector to the project and also reduced operating and problem solving time.

Once this entire process is complete, construction is carried out by qualified partners in execution of works and with proven expertise in all disciplines (electrical, civil and mechanical), followed by works management, with monitoring and control through performance indicators, supply management and execution of subcontractors, quality and risk management, construction supervision and also the legal sector dedicated to monitoring the entire project cycle.

“EPC is yet another solution that adds to the company’s range of products and services, which contributes 100% to the country’s sustainability. Now with the offer, BYD adds even more to the sector's growth, in line with its commitment to reducing global temperatures by up to 1ºC”, concluded Rodrigues.
