The TRE-MS (Regional Electoral Court of Mato Grosso do Sul) recorded savings exceeding R$ 400 in 2025 with the adoption of photovoltaic solar power generation systems in its units.

Currently, the court operates 18 solar power plants, distributed between Campo Grande and 16 municipalities in the interior of the state. Of this total, nine will become operational in 2025, expanding the institution's own generation capacity.

Throughout the year, the plants produced 842.587 kWh. Of this volume, 569.517 kWh were effectively offset in electricity bills. The total energy injected into the system exceeded the annual consumption of the TRE-MS (Regional Electoral Court of Mato Grosso do Sul) in 2025, which was 754.711 kWh/month.

The financial impact became evident in December 2025. The electricity bill, which would have reached R$ 73,6, was reduced to R$ 25,2 after offsetting the energy generated, resulting in savings of R$ 48,3 in just one month.

In addition to direct cost reduction, the adoption of solar energy brings direct benefits to the public sector. Photovoltaic generation contributes to budgetary predictability and strengthens the sustainability agenda. From a systemic point of view, solar energy also helps to alleviate demand during peak consumption hours.
