O post was acquired by issuance of CRIs (Real Estate Receivables Certificates), with the operation being coordinated by Banco Modal and One Corporate.

Luiz Fernando Leone Vianna, Institutional and Regulatory vice-president of the Delta Energia Group, explains that around 40 % from the project is already completed, with eight plants ready and another six under construction.

“Our entry into solar energy generation is a preparation for the total opening of the electricity market in Brazil”, said the executive.

He highlights that these initiatives are centered em technology, human resources e marketing, in addition to expanding the portfolio, with a focus on retail.

Total demand during the investment capture period was around R$737 million, almost three times greater than the initial offer.

“Having a solid and financially robust company at the helm, with more than 22 years of history and experience in the electricity sector, was our biggest differentiator”, assesses Rodrigo Pereira, (CFO) of Grupo Delta Energia.

The operation attracted investors from different profiles, with 66% of orders in the process bookbuilding (the moment in which the price of the asset is defined in the public offering) from institutional investors.

“For a structurally complex project like this, the solidity of the Delta Group was a determining factor for individual investors to also show enormous interest in the paper and for there to be a wide spread of investors allocated to the CRIs.", says José Álvaro Guimarães, partner at One Corporate.

The paper has a duration of up to eight years and can be traded on the secondary market, a part of the financial market intended for the movement of assets of companies that already have public capital on the stock exchange.
