Energy trader Ecom is ready to start operating three new photovoltaic plants in the shared generation model in December. The projects, which total 3 MW of installed capacity, received an investment of more than R$17,2 million.
Located in Parapuã, in the interior of São Paulo, the plants will have the capacity to serve consumers in more than 90 municipalities in São Paulo, in addition to some cities in the states of Paraná and Minas Gerais.
In the shared generation modality, consumers can enjoy the benefits of solar energy without having to install equipment on their properties. Simply sign up to the Ecomcompartilha service to get discounts of up to 20% on their electricity bill and consume 100% renewable energy.
“We are excited about the opening of the unit in Parapuã. This is undoubtedly an important milestone for us and for the region, which is moving towards a more decentralized model that complements other existing models, such as the free energy market, for example,” said Paulo Toledo, CEO of Ecom.
