A ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) approved, this Tuesday (14), another adjustment to the electricity bill in 2026. This time, consumers served by Energisa Sul-Sudeste (EESS) will pay, on average, 9,63% more for electricity.
Based in Presidente Prudente (SP), the distributor serves approximately 905 consumer units in municipalities in the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais, and Paraná. The new rates have already come into effect.
According to ANEELThe main factors that drove the price adjustment were the costs of transporting and distributing energy, as well as financial components.
"The indices were approved after analysis of the contributions received from April 24 to June 8, 2026 in..." Public Consultation No. 10/2026, which obtained subsidies related to the distributor's periodic tariff review,” the Agency reported.
With this decision, the number of distributors that have had tariff adjustments authorized rises to 24. ANEEL in 2026. In virtually all cases, the approved rates exceed the projected inflation for the year, estimated at 5,1%.
Among the largest adjustments approved by ANEEL In 2026, the rates for Roraima Energia (24,13%) and Copel (20,51%) are projected. In the case of the Roraima distributor, however, the initially approved rate was later reduced to approximately 4,51%, after the use of resources from the renegotiation of the UBP (Use of Public Asset), a mechanism adopted to mitigate the tariff impact.
Utility companies such as CPFL Santa Cruz (18,89%), RGE Sul (16,06%), Enel Rio (15,60%), Cocel (14,58%), Sulgipe (12,87%), CPFL Paulista (12,13%), Energisa Mato Grosso do Sul (12,10%) and Energisa Minas Rio (11,27%) also recorded significant price increases.
