This Wednesday (8), at 11 am, PotencializEE (Transformative Investments in Energy Efficiency in Industry Program) will take place, a virtual launch event that aims to support small and medium-sized industrial companies in the state of São Paulo in implementing energy efficiency measures. Around R$110 million is planned for the project.
The event will feature the participation of representatives from partner institutions such as the MME (Ministry of Mines and Energy), SENAI (National Industrial Learning Service) of São Paulo, the German Embassy, the British Embassy and the European Union Delegation in Brazil.
PotencializEE is a Brazil-Germany Cooperation Program, led by the MME and coordinated through GIZ (Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit), the German International Cooperation Agency. The program has resources from the German Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety and the European Union.
The initiative is a contribution from the two institutions to the NAMA Facility, a financing mechanism whose objective is to help developing countries and emerging economies in their efforts to reduce GHG (Greenhouse Gas) emissions, contributing to the fight against climate changes.
The program has as strategic partners federal institutions linked to the energy, industry and financial sectors, such as the Ministry of Mines and Energy, Ministry of Economy and Energy Research Company.
In addition to having support from the industry and energy sector, SENAI, FIESP (Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo) and ABESCO (Brazilian Association of Energy Conservation Services Companies). Among the financial partners are: Desenvolvimento SP (State Bank of SP) and BNDES (National Bank for Economic and Social Development).
