Professionals in engineering, agronomy, geosciences, technology and interior design from all over Brazil can now automatically obtain permission to work in São Paulo. The initiative is part of the Single Registry, a project by the Confea/Crea and Mútua System that unifies professional registration at a national level. Before arriving in São Paulo, the system had already been implemented in Goiás.
“Until February 27, when the request was made, it took 5 to 10 days for the visa to be issued. With the implementation of the Single Registry at Crea-SP, the service is now performed in minutes,” explains Marcelo Pessoa, superintendent of Technology and Innovation at the agency.
Crea-SP reinforces that, to guarantee the efficiency of the procedure, it is essential that the registration is active and regular, in addition to keeping the registration data updated in the system.
“We understand that, in this way, by facilitating the legal exercise of professions, we directly contribute to the formalization of the market, creating fair opportunities for action”, says engineer Lígia Mackey, president of Crea-SP.
After being registered with the São Paulo Council, the professional can issue ARTs (Technical Responsibility Notes) and have access to other services and benefits that the authority offers, such as access to the platform Crea-SP Qualifies, the Benefits Club, the Talent Bank and more.
“If, for some reason, the professional encounters difficulty due to not meeting these conditions, his/her visa will go through the conventional procedure, being subject to conventional analysis before being authorized”, explains Pessoa.
