Hopewind is classified as Tier 1 by BloombergNEF

The company was also nominated for the Smarter E Award 2024 for its 385 kW inverter

The report Global PV Market Outlook, from the second quarter of 2024 of BNEF (BloombergNEF), selected Hopewind to join the Tier 1 list of photovoltaic inverter manufacturers. 

“Classification on the prestigious Tier 1 list recognizes our financial and business strengthsours is confirmed strategy to deepen in the solar sector, working on more innovations and advancements to lead the global development of clean and renewable energy,” said Wang Yao, vice president of Hopewind.

As part of the innovation strategy, the company also officially joined the Konstanz International Solar Energy Research Center (ISC), one of the world's leading photovoltaic research institutes.

Nomination at the Smarter E Award 2024

The company also highlighted that it was officially appointed to the Smarter E Award 2024 for your 385 kW utility-scale string inverter, with capacity Grid Forming. The company was selected by the jury to enter the list of the 10 best inverter manufacturers, being the only Chinese company to reach the final.

“Our nomination for the Smarter E Award 2024 highlights our innovative nature which is fundamental to our DNA”, highlighted Yao.

Kubuqi Desert Project

O Kubuqi Desert it is the seventh largest in China. There are more than 10 kilometers of solar panels and 5.604 350 kW Hopewind inverters. “This project demonstrates our corporate vision, which is to become a world-class provider of energy conversion and control solutions, creating a more sustainable future for our world”, concluded the executive.  

About Hopewind

Founded in 2007, it was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2017 and has shipments of more than 150 GW worldwide. Hopewind participated in the Wingrid project, supported by Horizon Europe 2020 and facilitated by DNV Laboratory.

In 2023 the manufacturer's wind energy converter received from DNV the first Grid Forming certificate in the world, and since February 2024 the 385 kW inverter has been selected as the most powerful on the market by Solarbe Global.
