The Sorocaba Technology Park (PTS) will host the BBC Brazil International Scientific Congress on Biomass and Bioenergy from October 28th to 30th. The event will bring together researchers, students, and professionals to discuss scientific and technological advances related to bioenergy and sustainability.
Focusing on energy transition and carbon emissions reduction, the conference will discuss the use of biomass as an alternative to fossil fuels. The program includes lectures, short courses, and presentations of original research, featuring experts from Brazil and abroad.
Organized by UFSCar, Sorocaba Campus, with support from Capes, CNPq, and Memorial University of Newfoundland (Canada), the congress is open to registered participants and invited speakers. The aim is to bring together academia, industry, and government in the search for clean and renewable solutions.
"The conference will bring together researchers at the forefront of knowledge in renewable energy and waste reuse," highlighted Professor Minoru Yamaji of UFSCar. For PTS president Nelson Cancellara, the international exchange of experiences "strengthens Brazilian science and the development of solutions for a low-carbon economy."
