Intersolar and ees Middle East 2025 have been successfully concluded at the Dubai World Trade Centre, cementing the region’s position as a key player in the global energy transition.

Held between April 7 and 9, the event was part of the 49th edition of Middle East Energy and was attended by 36.438 industry professionals, surpassing the previous record of 23.754 visitors.

Significant growth and international presence

The fair featured more than 1.600 exhibitors from over 90 countries, spread across 16 halls and 18 international pavilions – the largest area ever occupied in the history of the event. In total, more than 70 individual visitors were registered, coming from around 158 countries.

The exhibition space at Intersolar and ees Middle East 2025 has quadrupled compared to the 2023 edition. More than 70 international companies presented innovative solutions in Hall 6 and the Pavilion Hall of the convention center.

Conference discusses the future of clean energy

The three-day Intersolar and ees Middle East conference brought together experts and policymakers to discuss the future of solar and storage in the Middle East and North Africa. The program included:

  • Lectures with regional and international leaders;
  • Panels on deployment of hybrid systems, grid integration, use of AI in smart grids, H2V (green hydrogen) and solar energy in utility-scale applications;
  • Presentation of case studies and pioneering projects in the region.
    The conference highlighted the region’s rapid progress in adopting clean technologies and the strategic role of cross-sector collaboration in achieving sustainability goals, such as the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 initiative.

Innovation in focus and institutional support

Highlights of the event included cutting-edge technologies in solar energy and storage, smart grid solutions and a strong emphasis on green hydrogen.

The fair also had the support of local authorities and energy sector associations, reinforcing the regional commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals.

“The Middle East is at an inflection point in its clean energy journey,” said Florian Wessendorf, Director of Solar Promotion International. “This year’s edition demonstrated the strong momentum behind the adoption of solar and storage, and the importance of collaboration across sectors.”

The next edition already has a set date

Organizers have announced that the 50th edition of Middle East Energy, together with Intersolar and ees Middle East 2026, will take place from April 7-9 next year, again in Dubai. The event is expected to be an even broader edition, with a focus on advances in photovoltaics, storage and green hydrogen.

“The 2026 edition promises to be even bolder and more impactful for the global energy sector,” highlighted Barbara Niemeier, director of The smarter E global Messe Freiburg Management and Marketing International GmbH.

About the organizers

A Intersolar and ees Middle East are organized by Solar Promotion International GmbH, Freiburg Management and Marketing International GmbH (FMMI) and Informa Markets MEA. The fair is part of the global platform “The smarter E”, with editions also in Munich, Long Beach, Gandhinagar, São Paulo, Mexico City and Dubai.
