Jinko Solar announced that it has set a new conversion efficiency record of 24,90% for its TOPCon N-type monocrystalline silicon solar cell.
The result was confirmed by the IFSH (Institute for Solar Energy Research) in Hamelin, Germany.
Previously, the company had achieved an efficiency of 24,79% for its TOPCon cell, also verified by ISFH in June 2020.
“In the future, we will continue to take on the role of a changemaker in the industry, focusing on rapidly improving photovoltaic products with our innovative technology so as to promote the high-quality development of the photovoltaic industry,” said Jin Hao, CTO of Jinko.
Hao further highlighted the continued advancements of the module maker's HOT cell design, which is based on tunnel oxide passivating contact and has implemented selective doping and advanced fine-line printing technology, among other improvements.
