A ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) reported, this Thursday (3), that a Judicial decision determines that the Agency approve, within 24 hours, the transfer plan of Amazonas Energy for Ambar Energia, a company of the J&F group, with an estimated cost of $ 14 billion over 15 years.

A Agency is evaluating the possibility of carrying out a new extraordinary reunion to address the issue.

Furthermore, ANEEL informed that he is waiting for the official notification from the Federal Court of Amazonas about the new decision that requires the transfer of control of Amazonas Energia. The regulator also awaits guidance from the AGU (Attorney General's Office) regarding compliance with the decision.

Last Tuesday (1), the ANEEL had authorized the transfer of corporate control of Amazonas Energia to Âmbar Energia. According to the decision taken on this day, the authorization would occur provided that the company accepts the conditions proposed by the Agency's technical areas, through Technical Note No. 188/2024.

At the same time, by decision of the Agency's board of directors, there would be a relaxation of the company's obligations, in the order of R$8 billion, in addition to an established capital contribution of R$10 billion. Âmbar requested almost R$16 billion in investment to complete the purchase.

Amazonas Energia is responsible for distributing electricity to 62 municipalities in Amazonas, totaling more than one million consumer units.
