O ONS (National Electric System Operator) registered last weekend, July 23rd and 24th, six new records for generation solar energy e wind in Brazil. Among the results is the generation of solar energy in the subsystem of northeast region, which, on Saturday (23), reached the mark of 1.118 MW in average generation.
This volume represents approximately 10,3% of regional demand. The previous record was 1.086 MW, on July 20. In instantaneous generation, the subsystem's milestone was 3.107 MW, at 10:33 am last Saturday, compared to 2.985 MW on the 20th. This generation represents 31% of regional demand.
In addition to the northeastern subsystem, other solar energy records were recorded in the without (National Interconnected System), which presented an instantaneous generation peak of 4.194 MW, at 11:56 am last Saturday. This record represented 6,9% of the demand of the entire SIN. The previous record registered on the 20th of this month was 4.046. In average generation, the SIN surpassed the 1.451 MW of July 20, reaching 1.484 MW, which represented 2,3% of the system's solar energy demand.

On Sunday (24), the ONS recorded the first record of the year for average wind power generation in the Northeast subsystem, where 12.494 MW were recorded, against 11.907 MW from the last record, on August 6, 2021. “The wind generation records over the weekend represent more than 120% of the demand in the Northeast. In instantaneous energy generation, there was a peak of 14.473 MW on Sunday, at 22:12 pm. The previous record was 14.167 MW, on July 8 of this year”, highlights the ONS.
