O Ceará has been playing an important role in the decarbonization process and global energy transition. The state currently has 37 MOU's (memoranda of understanding) signed for the production of H2V (green hydrogen).
Are more than $35 billion in investments announced by companies wishing to invest in Ceará. The expectation is that approximately 65 thousand new jobs, expanding industry and the economy, locally and nationally.
In this scenario, the biggest players in the sector, with participation at national and international level, will discuss, on the 11th and 12th of September at Ceará Events CenterOn Fortaleza, the contemporary opportunities and challenges for the energy transition in Proenergia Summit 2024.
Among the highlighted themes are areas such as generation, transmission, storage and commercialization of energy, climate change, regulation, public policies, market, investments, H2V, offshore, smart cities, among other related themes, under the macro theme “The World of Energy happens here!”.
In the event, the participation of João Henrique de Araújo Franklin Neto, president of Chesf (São Francisco Hydroelectric Company), who will be at the opening ceremony of the meeting alongside other authorities, in addition to companies such as bp, Elera Renováveis, Ceneged, B&Q Energia and Cosampa. Other national and multinational companies are in the process of closing partnerships.
Still among sponsors and partners, one of the most recent announcements was the Government of Ceará, through SDE (Secretariat of Economic Development). “We will all be discussing and building connections for the generation of clean and renewable energy, such as green hydrogen, and the many opportunities for companies already operating in Ceará and for those yet to come”, he stated Salmito Filho, holder of SDE.

The event is promoted by Sindienergia-CE (Union of Energy and Services Industries of the Electrical Sector of the State of Ceará), in partnership with FIEC (Federation of Industries of the State of Ceará) and with the Sebrae.
The expectation is receive 4 thousand people, which will have at their disposal technical lectures and debates, encompassing business rounds, spaces for startups, commercial exhibitions, podcasts and interactive spaces, in a qualified business and networking environment.
