AFCI: how distributors are adapting to the new INMETRO ordinance

The new INMETRO (National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology) ordinance on AFCI (Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter) establishes technical and safety requirements for the use of arc fault interruption devices in electrical systems, with the aim of preventing fires and other risks related to short circuits.

How should distributors position themselves for the new INMETRO adjustments?

Energy Storage: Hybrid and ALL IN ONE Inverters

Data from the IEA (International Energy Agency) indicate that global installed energy storage capacity will reach 1 TW by the end of the decade and more than 5 TW by the end of 2050.

In Brazil, lithium batteries are expected to grow by 20% to 30% annually until 2030, making storage systems an increasingly attractive investment.

What is the future of energy storage in the country, presenting innovations in hybrid inverters from 3 to 6 kW and up to 50 kW for residential and C&I projects?

The role of batteries in flux reversal

Since last year, the expansion of the electricity sector in Brazil through distributed solar generation has encountered some obstacles, especially with the implementation of restrictions on new connections to the grid by some distributors, causing a desire in the segment for solutions that are capable of solving problems related to flow inversion.

Currently, one of the existing possibilities to alleviate the situation is the use of batteries in new photovoltaic installations, since the solution allows the storage of energy generated by the system without it being injected into the grid.

What is the role of batteries in flux reversal?
