Tongwei has introduced the TNC 3.0 series, composed of photovoltaic modules with a power output of up to 770 W and a maximum efficiency of 24,8%. The manufacturer also reported that the TNC 3.0 BIFIMAX version achieved a bifaciality of up to 93,07%, a result certified by TÜV Rheinland.

Developed as the next generation of the TNC platform, the series combines cell and module technologies aimed at increasing power, conversion efficiency, and energy generation in various photovoltaic applications.

According to the company, the technical characteristics can contribute to reducing the LCOE (levelized cost of energy) and to the profitability of the projects. However, the published material does not present simulations, test conditions, or comparisons that quantify these potential gains.

Bifaciality up to 93,07%

The TNC 3.0 BIFIMAX version was developed for projects seeking to maximize the use of irradiance incident on the rear of the modules.

According to Tongwei, the product achieved bifaciality of up to 93,07%, a rate certified by TÜV Rheinland. The manufacturer points to the model primarily for large-scale photovoltaic plants and projects installed in locations with greater potential for generation from the rear face.

The press release does not provide information on the power output, front-facing efficiency, or other technical specifications of the BIFIMAX version. It also does not clarify whether the maximum power of 770 W and the efficiency of 24,8% are achieved by the same model in the series.

Integrated photovoltaic production

Tongwei maintains a vertically integrated photovoltaic supply chain, encompassing everything from the production of high-purity polysilicon to the manufacturing of solar cells and modules.

According to the company, its industrial strategy is based on large-scale production, automation, quality control, and continuous investment in research and development.

The company did not disclose, in the material provided, the amounts invested in research, the current module production capacity, or information about the commercial availability of the TNC 3.0 line in the Brazilian market.

Tongwei ranks 464th on the Fortune Global 500.

The manufacturer also reached the 464th position in the 2026 edition of the Fortune Global 500. This is the fourth consecutive year that the company has been included in the list of companies with the highest revenues in the world.

According to the information released, the 500 companies present at the 2026 edition will have combined revenues of approximately US$43,1 trillion, an amount greater than one-third of the world's GDP.

The minimum revenue required to enter the ranking increased from US$32,2 billion to US$33,2 billion, an annual increase of approximately 3%. China had 122 companies ranked and was second only to the United States in the number of representatives.

For Tongwei, remaining in the ranking is related to the scale of its industrial operation and its integrated performance in the solar energy market. The company states that it intends to continue expanding its technological and productive capacity to meet the global growth of renewable energy sources.
