One of the largest solar projects in the Northeast, the Sol do Agreste Complex has entered the final commissioning phase, with the start of operational tests of the last six plants, according to reports. ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency.
With an investment of R$ 823 million, the project is located between the municipalities of São Caetano and Tacaimbó, in Pernambuco. The park comprises 549 generating units and has a total installed capacity of 169,83 MW.
The complex will be connected to the National Interconnected System via a 34,5/230 kV substation and a 1,3 km long 230 kV transmission line, structured to integrate the project with the Tacaimbó Substation.
According to the regulatory agency, commercial operations are expected to begin in May 2026.
