A Brazil announced that it will build 45 photovoltaic solar farms in the state of Mato Grosso by the beginning of 2024. The construction and management of the projects will be carried out in partnership with the West Group and Enersim.
In total, there will be invested R$ 250 million in the construction of projects. The information is from Broadcast. According to the company, the objective is to implement DG (distributed generation) plants by next year with the aim of guaranteeing full incentives obtained for the projects.
Grupo Oeste will manage the quotas, through shared generation, and Enersim will be responsible for building the projects.
It is estimated that the plants total 58 MWp. According to Carlos Bacha, CIO at Braso, the target audience is consumers who cannot yet migrate to the free energy market, such as bars, restaurants and homes. “In fact, they are small consumers, the majority will not yet be able to migrate to the free market,” said Bacha.
The executive also informed that the financing for the construction of the plants was made by raising R$100 million in CRIs (Real Estate Receivables Certificates) with the EQI investment platform.
The amount was used to implement the first 15 plants and, for the others, the company intends to raise an additional R$150 million through CRIs.
Still in the DG segment, the company analyzes six potential acquisitions of plants already built by project developers in this segment. For these operations, the company has R$500 million on its balance sheet, but hopes to have the possibility of issuing issues on the market.
