The Committee of Women, WIE (Women In Energy), from CIGRE-Brazil (International Council of Large Electric Systems of Brazil), will hold a meeting to commemorate International Women's Day in a hybrid format on March 18.

The event aims to promote the exchange of experiences and strengthen female participation in the electricity sector and takes place remotely from 14 pm to 15:30 pm and in person from 14 pm to 18 pm at the headquarters of State Grid, Rio de Janeiro (RJ).

The initiative will be moderated by Gabriela Desiree, WIE coordinator and infrastructure project consultant at BTG Pactual, and Elusa Moreira, vice-coordinator of WIE BR and advisor to the Board of Directors of ONS (National Electric System Operator).

“Our main mission is to give visibility and voice to those who already stand out in their professional careers, inspiring other professionals to be part of the CIGRE community and the Women's Committee,” said Gabriela.

The first part of the meeting will present the new structure of the Committee of Women, the group's objectives and the work fronts. Immediately afterwards, exclusively in person, there will be a discussion circle about professional challenges, equal opportunities and combating forms of discrimination.

Those interested in participating in the event must register using the form provided by the committee, by clicking here.
